Fire breaks out at Deer Park house for second time this summer, official says

For the second time this summer firefighters on Sunday extinguished a blaze at a house on Cayuga Avenue in Deer Park, a fire official said.
No one was hurt in the fire at the two-story unoccupied house, said Deer Park Fire Chief Larry Bradbury.
Bradbury said he did not know if the house had been repaired and certified for occupancy since the July fire.
"But we did a quick check and determined that it was unoccupied," he said Monday.
Firefighters responded to the fire reported at 9:45 p.m. and needed a little less than 90 minutes to completely extinguish the blaze, Bradbury said.
In addition to Deer Park, fire departments from Babylon, Wyandanch, Dix Hills and Brentwood also responded, Bradbury said.
