Former judge Gary Weber seeks Southampton justice seat
Former County Court Judge Gary Weber is looking to make a comeback, running for a $68,442-a-year post as a Southampton Town justice.
Petition filings show Weber, a Republican Westhampton Beach lawyer, has Conservative Party backing and will face Democrat Adam Grossman of Hampton Bays for the Independence line in a primary Sept. 10. Both are running for the justice post held by Republican Edward D. BurkeSr.
Weber was a county court judge for 20 years. He ran for state Supreme Court in 2013 but lost in the bicounty election. -- Rick Brand
