Four arrested in sobriety checkpoint
Four people were arrested at an overnight sobriety checkpoint in Huntington Station, Suffolk police said.
Charged with driving while intoxicated were: Peter Macaluso, 32, of 17 Prime Ave., Huntington, Jack Pierson, 33, of 285 West Third St., Deer Park; John Larongo, 21, of 6 Capital Place, Huntington Station and Janelly Botina, 34, of 13 Gardiner Dr., Bay Shore.
They were scheduled to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.
Police said the arrests were made as 186 vehicles went through the checkpoint, which was set up at Route 110 and Church Street from 1 to 3 a.m. Sunday morning.
