Three people were injured, including a newborn, in an accident in Hauppauge Monday morning involving a Jeep and a garbage truck, police said.
The injuries to the Jeep’s male driver, his female passenger and the baby were not life threatening, Suffolk County police said.
The garbage truck was heading north on Old Willets Path and was trying to make a right turn into a business when the northbound Jeep hit the passenger side of the truck, police said.
Police said the three occupants of the Jeep were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. The garbage truck driver was not hurt.
“The Jeep driver was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license,” police said in a statement.
