Gas station sting leads to drug bust
Three Suffolk residents carrying "a large quantity of heroin and ecstasy pills" were arrested on felony drug possession charges Friday night during a sting at a Cutchogue gas station, police said.
The arrests resulted from an investigation into activities at the Valero gas station on Route 25 by the East End Drug Task Force, a consortium of 12 federal, state, county, town and village law enforcement agencies. Southold town police said a Bellport man and a man and women, both from Greenport, were stopped at 9:45 p.m. on Friday and found to be in possession of the drugs.
The suspects were identified as Kevin Crenshaw, 31, of 547 Bellport Ave. in Bellport, Kevin Parker, 22, of 546 Main St. in Greenport and Melissa Bondarchuk, 30, of 209 Knapp Pl. in Greenport. All three were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
The suspects were processed at Southold police headquarters, police said. No arraignment time had been set as of Saturday morning.
