Southampton Village Police and Crime Stoppers said Tuesday they are looking for a man who stole collectibles, including sports memorabilia, from a sleeping homeowner last month.

A man broke into a home on Tuckahoe Lane in Southampton at about 3:10 a.m. on Sept. 26 and took several items as the homeowner slept, according to a news release.

The homeowner woke up and confronted the suspect, but he fled, police said.

The collectibles include:

A silver flask engraved with 53 years of the scores of the Army-Navy football game.

Three Naval Academy dress swords.

One Naval Academy ring.

One Naval Academy money clip.

One New York Giants football helmet signed by players from the franchise's 1987 Super Bowl championship team.

A sterling silver tea set.

Also taken were several pieces of costume jewelry and a Wii gaming system.

Police also released photographs of some of the items taken.
