The 2-year-old girl found drowning in the in-ground pool at her West Babylon home died Wednesday, according to Suffolk Police.

Chloe Acosta's mother had found her Saturday night in the fenced-in swimming pool of their home, police said.

The toddler was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip in critical condition, the spokeswoman said.

She remained in critical condition until her death, Suffolk police said.

Milton Acosta, the girl's grandfather, called police at 7:10 p.m. Saturday after Kimberly Acosta, the girl's mother, found her unresponsive, police said.

West Babylon Fire Department responded and performed CPR on the toddler.
