A 3-year-old girl found unresponsive Tuesday afternoon in a swimming pool at a Lindenhurst home was hospitalized in critical condition, Suffolk County police said.

A 911 call at 3:15 p.m. reported the child unresponsive in the pool of the residence on North Broadway, police said in a news release. The girl resides in the home, police said.

She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, police said.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call the Suffolk police First Squad in West Babylon at 631-854-8152.
