A motorcyclist was seriously injured and a motorist arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a Mastic crash Monday, Suffolk police said.
Glen Brunskill, 47, of Southampton, was listed in serious condition with head and leg injuries Monday night after being airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital.
He was westbound about 1:35 p.m. behind a Honda on Eleanor Avenue and was trying to pass it on the left when the driver turned left onto Clover Street, police said.
The two collided and the driver, Blanca Rivera, 30, took off but was arrested later by Seventh Precinct Officer John Levasseur, police said.
Rivera, of Eleanor Avenue in Mastic, was charged with leaving the scene of an incident with serious physical injury without reporting it. She was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct for arraignment Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip, police said.
The Honda and the motorcycle were impounded for safety checks, police said, and the investigation is continuing.
