A Good Samaritan pulled an 18-year-old driver from an overturned car to safety Tuesday in Holbrook, Suffolk County police said.
The driver, a woman from East Islip, was not seriously injured, a police spokeswoman said.
She was driving south on Nicolls Road near Patchogue-Holbrook Road at about 12:45 p.m. when she was distracted, the spokeswoman said.
Her car, a 2005 Chrysler, left the road, struck a tree and overturned.
The passerby pulled the driver from the car and she was transported with non-life-threatening injuries, the spokeswoman said.
