Graying man robs Shirley bank, Suffolk police say
Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a bank Sunday afternoon in Shirley, Suffolk County police said.
A man in his 50s, with salt-and-pepper hair, handed a TD Bank teller a note about 12:30 p.m. that said he had a gun and was demanding cash. The teller complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man was seen leaving the bank at 530 William Floyd Pkwy., running north through the parking lot.
Police said anyone with information could make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.
