Gun buyback planned in Bellport

A gun buyback in which residents can exchange certain weapons for cash is planned for May 11 in Bellport, Suffolk County police said Tuesday.

Assault weapons, handguns, rifles and high capacity clips can be turned in for $200, $100, $30 and $20, respectively, police said.

The buyback is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon at Lighthouse Mission, 1543 Montauk Hwy., Bellport.
