Man killed in Hampton Bays house fire, Southampton Town police say

A 71-year-old man was killed in a house fire in Hampton Bays on Wednesday morning, according to Southampton Town police.
Firefighters found the victim, Frank Holecek, on the second floor of the home on Mildred Place, according to a police news release. CPR was performed on Holecek, said police spokeswoman Lt. Susan Ralph.
Ralph said she didn’t yet know the cause of the fire.
Officers were responding to a call reporting a fire when they found the home fully engulfed shortly before 10 a.m., police said in the news release.
"Sadly, Mr. Holecek did not survive," the release stated.
