Asharoken Beach and Steers Beach in Northport are closed to bathing as a result of bacterial levels being found to be in excess of acceptable criteria, James L. Tomarken, commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, said Wednesday in a news release.
Grantland Beach and Bayberry Cove Beach in Strongs Neck remain closed, the release said.
For beach updates, call the hotline at 631-852-5822 or check suffolkcountyny.gov/health and under "Our Environment," click "Beaches."
