The owner of a Westhampton Beach home was injured in an early morning fire that ravaged a house on Dune Road Wednesday, an official said.

The homeowner, who was not identified, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the official said. Additional details were not immediately available.

The fire was reported at about 2 a.m.

Firefighters from Westhampton Beach, Eastport and Quogue battled the blaze, while East Quogue firefighters covered the firehouse. A crew from Westhampton War Memorial ambulance transported the victim to the hospital.

About 35 firefighters fought the blaze, which took about three hours to extinguish.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Southampton Town Fire Marshal.
