An East Northport home was severely damaged by a fire late Tuesday, Suffolk officials said.
Suffolk fire officials received a call at 11:35 p.m. reporting a deck fire on Celia Lane, Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services said.
Newsday footage captured flames burning through the roof on one side of the house, while thick smoke came out of the doors and windows.
The East Northport Fire Department, along with the Greenlawn, Commack, Centerport, Northport and Kings Park fire departments, brought the fire under control by 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.
Suffolk County police could not say whether anyone was injured but that the occupants of the house self-evacuated.
