Officials: Vacant Farmingville home destroyed by fire

An early morning fire destroyed a vacant home in Farmingville on Monday, Suffolk County fire officials said.
The fire at the house on Morris Avenue was reported in a 911 call at 3:33 a.m., Suffolk police said. The home is located between Lakeside Drive and Coed Lane.
Firefighters from the Farmingville Fire Department and three other departments responded.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Arson Squad detectives and the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal’s Office.
