Huntington Town Board schedules hearing on no-stopping zones
The Huntington Town Board has scheduled a public hearing for Wednesday on making portions of Gerard Street and Stewart Avenue in Huntington village no-stopping areas.
The board voted unanimously in favor of scheduling the public hearing at its Feb. 6 board meeting.
The hearing will be held at 7 p.m. at the board’s meeting Wednesday.
The proposed resolution would make portions of Gerard Street 20 feet east and west of Stewart Avenue, and the portions of eastbound Stewart Avenue 20 feet east and west of Gerard Street, no-stopping zones. The westbound side of Stewart Avenue 20 feet north and 35 feet south of Gerard Street would be made a no-stopping zone as well.
