Huntington Station hit-run driver sought

Crime Stoppers and Second Squad detectives are looking for the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian in Huntington Station on New Year's Day, Suffolk County police said.
Police on Wednesday released a photograph of light-colored sport utility vehicle they believe was involved in the fatal crash on New York Avenue near 21st Street.
Cesar Gudiel, 46, of Columbia Street in Huntington Station, was walking in the roadway at about 7:35 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle traveling north on New York Avenue, police said.
The vehicle is likely to have front-end damage from the incident, police said.
