Huntington Station man found shot dead

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the shooting death early Wednesday of a Huntington Station man, Suffolk County police said.

Second Precinct officers responded to an emergency call at 12:56 a.m. that a man had been shot at 11 Tippin Dr. in Huntington Station, police said.

When police arrived at the address they found Darnell Boddie, 42, on the front steps of his residence. He had at least one gunshot wound to his torso, police said.

Boddie was taken to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
