Ice cream truck overturns in Holbrook, driver uninjured

An ice cream truck in Holbrook trying to evade a motorist passing on the left, veered to the right, struck a mailbox and flipped on its side about 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, Suffolk police said.
The 53-year-old driver was not injured, police said, and there was no apparent criminality relating to the accident.
Some food and beverages spilled out on Patchogue-Holbrook Road near Richard Place in Holbrook, police said, but the debris was cleaned up quickly.
