A 20-year-old man was shot multiple times in Wyandanch on Wednesday evening, Suffolk police said.

The man was on North 15th Street near Washington Avenue when he was shot about 5 p.m. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Detectives are investigating. Anyone who may have seen the shooting is asked to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
