The town of Islip is accepting new applications for its waiting lists for subsidized housing programs.
The Town of Islip Housing Authority is accepting applications for the Section 8 Voucher Program, the RAD Section 8 Project Based Voucher Program for the elderly and families, and the Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Program at Southwind Village for the elderly and families. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, March 24 to be considered.
“Our Housing Authority plays a key role in finding permanent dwellings for many of our residents. I urge anyone who is interested in Section 8 housing to contact the Islip Housing Authority immediately,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter in a news release.
Copies of applications can be obtained online at www.isliphousing.org or by mailing a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope to P.O. Box 442, Oakdale, NY 11769.
Interested parties may also call 631-589-7100 ext. 6 for instructions on where to pick up an application. Each head of household is asked to submit one application only.
