A Deer Park woman was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs after an early morning crash in North Lindenhurst that seriously injured a motorcyclist from Mastic, Suffolk police said.

Jacklynn Barkey, of 91 Pine Acres Blvd., was arrested after the crash at the intersection of Route 109 and Wellwood Avenue at 3:05 a.m. She was held pending arraignment Saturday in First District Court in Central Islip.

Police said Barkey, 27, driving a 1996 Buick south on Wellwood, crashed into the 2006 Yamaha being driven westbound on Route 109 by John Pesce, 60. Pesce suffered what police described as "a severe leg injury" and was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.

The accident caused the closure of all westbound lanes of Route 109 and of Wellwood Avenue in both directions, according to police and the New York State Department of Transportation.

Police said all roads were reopened at about 9:15 a.m.
