Car exits LIE near Jake's 58, hits parked vehicles, flips, police say
Suffolk County police said they were clearing a car accident near Exit 58 of the Long Island Expressway, by Jake's 58 casino in Islandia, on Saturday night.
Police said a male driver exited the expressway around 8:10 p.m., lost control of his vehicle, and struck several parked cars along the South Service Road. The impact caused the driver to flip his vehicle and land near the casino, police said. The unidentified driver suffered minor injuries, police said.
No one else was injured in the crash.
A tow truck and street sweeper had been dispatched to clean the service road, police said.
