Police: Driver flees Medford accident

Suffolk County police are looking for the driver of a Jeep Wrangler who ran from the scene after crashing into another car in Medford early Tuesday, leaving the other driver seriously injured.
A department spokeswoman said the crash on Route 112 near Greenport Avenue happened about 1 a.m.
The driver of the other vehicle, a Saturn, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with serious injuries, the spokeswoman said.
Police declined to release other details, saying the investigation by the Fifth Precinct detectives was ongoing.
