Traffic on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station was restored early Tuesday after downed power lines were repaired, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The roadway was closed in both directions between Schiller Avenue and Mercer Court at about 5:20 a.m. because of the downed lines, Suffolk County police said.

A repair crew from the Long Island Power Authority was dispatched to the site, and traffic was restored shortly after 9:15 a.m., the state's transportation website said.

Police said no injuries were reported and did not have immediately have a reason for the downed lines.
