Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown was closed for about six hours near Caleb Smith State Park after a motor vehicle crash Sunday night, Suffolk County police said.

Police said they responded to a 7:11 p.m. crash between Old Willets Path and Meadow Road, and the thoroughfare was reopened at 1:10 a.m. Monday. An unidentified person sustained serious injuries, police said.

Police said they are investigating and could not provide additional information.
