Suffolk police are looking for John Kearns, who was last seen Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at the Bayview Rest Home, an assisted living facility in Babylon. Kearns, 54, is 6 feet tall and 220 pounds with brown eyes, and suffers from a mental disability that severely limits his ability to communicate, police said. Credit: SCPD

Suffolk County police said they are looking for a man who was last seen Wednesday at the Babylon assisted-living facility where he lives.

John Kearns, 54, has been missing from the Bayview Rest Home, 143 E. Main St., since 8 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

Kearns was last seen by staff members, dressed in a green shirt and tan shorts; police said he has a "mental disability which severely impairs his ability to communicate with others."

Kearns is white, 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, with brown eyes and is balding.

Anyone with information is asked to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or 911.
