Jordan Aristondo, of Commack, killed in motorcycle crash

A Commack man riding a motorcycle Monday afternoon in the hamlet was killed when he collided with a car turning into a parking lot off Jericho Turnpike, Suffolk County police said.
Jordan Aristondo, 22, was driving a 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle east on Jericho Turnpike about 4:15 p.m. when he collided with a westbound 2020 Volkswagen driven by a Hauppauge woman, according to police.
Police said the driver of the Volkswagen was attempting to make a left turn into a parking lot at 6070 Jericho Tpke., the location of a Dick's Sporting Goods store.
Aristondo was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the Volkswagen remained at the scene and was not injured. Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
