Former Brookhaven Highway Superintendent John Rouse, who was elected county court judge in November, has been assigned to serve as an acting Family Court judge. Former State Supreme Court Justice Denise Molia -- who moved down to run for Family Court last November -- was moved up to acting Supreme Court justice. And former Family Court Judge Joan Genchi, who exited to make room for Molia because she faces mandatory retirement in two years, becomes a court attorney-referee in Family Court. -- Rick Brand
