A Brentwood man was killed and another wounded Saturday night in a shooting, Suffolk County police said Sunday.

The man killed was identified by police as Kenneth Evans, 24. The other man, who was taken to a hospital with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries, was identified only as a male in his 20s.

Police said that the circumstances surrounding the shooting had not yet been determined and that no arrests have been made.

According to a preliminary report, Third Precinct patrol officers were called to a Gibson Avenue home near Dolce Street after a 911 caller reported shots fired about 10:50 p.m. The officers found the two wounded men outside. Evans was pronounced dead at a hospital.
