A Port Jefferson insurance executive is now charged with kidnapping, after Suffolk prosecutors Wednesday detailed new incidents in which they say he posed as a federal law-enforcement agent and detained people he encountered.

Assistant District Attorney Stacy Skorupa described a bizarre series of incidents, escalating in aggressiveness over the past month and a half. In all of them, she said, Bradley identified himself as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent and displayed a shield and a handgun.

At 5 p.m. on May 4, Bradley drove to the Bravo Shopping Center in Port Jefferson Station in his white Mercedes-Benz with a blue emergency light, Skorupa said. She said he waded into an argument in the parking lot over a theft and told people he was "doing an investigation."

About 25 minutes later, Skorupa said, he arrived wearing a bulletproof vest at the 7-Eleven on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station, where a Suffolk police officer was responding to a robbery.

The officer told him to leave, and he did, Skorupa said.

Six days later, Skorupa said Bradley drove east on Route 347, passed a motorist on the right and pulled in front, blocking all lanes of traffic. He directed the motorist to a gas station, accused him of being a drug dealer and handcuffed him. Then he told the motorist it was his "lucky day" and let him go.

On June 10, Skorupa said Bradley got irritated with a motorist, pulled him over, handcuffed him. She said he told his victim he was taking him to his office, but took him instead to his own home before telling him it was his "lucky day" and let him go.

Defense attorney Anthony La Pinta said, "This is a complete shock to anyone who knows of him."
