An 11-year-old girl was critically injured when she was hit by a car Saturday morning while crossing the street in Kings Park, police said.
Suffolk County police said the girl was struck about 11 a.m. on Main Street by a van heading east down the street between Carlson Avenue and Thompson Street.
The van was driven by William Lopez, 52, of Freeport, who wasn’t injured and remained at the scene after the girl was struck.
