A 59-year-old Kings Park woman was seriously injured in a one-car crash in the hamlet, Suffolk County police said Saturday.
Dawn La Rose was a passenger in a 2006 Ford Mustang that was heading east on Fort Salonga Road near the intersection of Sunken Meadow Parkway at 2:25 p.m. when the driver, La Rose’s husband Vincent La Rose, swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle and lost control, police said. The La Roses' car then rolled over several times and hit a utility pole, according to police.
A police helicopter transported Dawn La Rose to Stony Brook University Hospital. Vincent La Rose, 63, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with minor injuries.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
