Authorities rescued a kitten from a storm drain in front of a house in Bohemia on Sunday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Police said they received a call about the gray and white kitten being trapped in the drain on Ocean Avenue at about 11:20 a.m.

The kitten was rescued with the help of Town of Islip Animal Control and Suffolk County police emergency service officers who freed the animal by lifting the grate on the storm drain.
