Suffolk cops arrest man they say robbed Selden bank

A man suspected of holding up a Selden bank Monday was caught after a GPS device led patrol officers to his home a few blocks from the crime scene, Suffolk police said.
Kyle Konecny, 25, of Selden, showed what appeared to be a handgun at the Bank of America on Middle Country Road and ran off with cash about 10 a.m., police said.
Sixth Precinct patrol officers were guided by a GPS device to Elmwood Avenue, where crime pattern detectives found Konecny and interviewed him, police said.
At the scene, police could be seen in the backyard searching for evidence in an above-ground pool.
Konecny, of 67 Elmwood Ave., is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on charges of second-degree robbery. His family could not be reached Monday.
