Lake Ronkonkoma men hurt in fall at East Marion’s Oki-do, cops say

Two men were hospitalized early Wednesday after they fell through the second floor of an abandoned factory in East Marion and landed on a concrete floor 20 feet below, police said.
Southold Town police said an investigation was being conducted and that no charges have been filed “at this time” against the two Lake Ronkonkoma men: Dean Giannopolous, 20, and Vincent Inzone, also 20.
Inzone was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital and Giannopolous was taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport, police said. The extent of their injuries was not known.
Town police and firefighters from East Marion and Greenport responded to the former Oki-Do oyster processing plant, at 2835 Shipyard Lane near Gardiners Bay, at 12:17 a.m., police said.
The two injured men had been in the building with another man and woman, police said.
A police spokesman said it was unclear why they were in the building, which has been the source of several complaints about trespassing in recent years.
