A Holtsville couple, their alleged Brooklyn heroin supplier and 11 other defendants will be arraigned Wednesday on drug trafficking, conspiracy and other offenses, authorities said late Tuesday.

Kelly Mullen, 29, her husband, Aaron Smith, 57, and Miguel Vicente, the alleged Brooklyn dealer, were indicted last week, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said in a news release.

The couple's Holtsville home was the "main distribution point" for heroin pickups by local drug dealers from Holbrook, Oakdale, Islip, Central Islip, Ronkonkoma, Shirley and Riverhead, authorities said.

Spota said the defendants "flooded Suffolk County with tens of thousands of bags of heroin" they brought here from Vicente.

Vicente, the district attorney said, "would prepare kilos of the drug for street sales."

Spota added: "In fact, Vicente, to encourage repeat business and dealer loyalty, would regularly overfill the bags."

Spota said "as many as five dealers" a day came to the Holtsville home, where five to 10 children lived at any given time, to pick up heroin.

"When we arrived with a search warrant, there were bags of heroin scattered about, including heroin left next to the crib of Mullen and Smith's daughter," Spota said.
