LI girl, 14, sings at Mets-Braves game

While thousands of fans took a seventh-inning stretch during Sunday night's Mets-Braves game at Citi Field, East Northport Middle School eighth-grader Kaitlyn Sheinhartz took to the field to sing "God Bless America."
The 14-year-old from East Northport won a winter audition and has been practicing ever since in her house.
In a March audition attended by about 200 hopefuls, Kaitlyn said she sang "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan.
Mom Catherine Sheinhartz, dad Christopher Burack and a few other family members were at the game, too, in prime seats behind the dugout.
Nerves? Not an issue on game night, Kaitlyn said.
"Everybody wished me luck and that made me think about it," Kaitlyn said in a phone interview before she sang. "But now I'm fine."
Kaitlyn, who said she plays guitar, piano, trumpet and saxophone, wants to sing professionally some day.
For her performance at Citi Field, Kaitlyn wore a Mets jacket.
