No one was injured Wednesday when a vehicle on a flatbed carrier caught fire on the Long Island Expressway in Medford, Suffolk County police said.

The fire about 5:25 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the expressway near Exit 63 closed the right and center lanes for a little more than a half-hour, police said.

The fire also ignited another vehicle, police said.

The Medford Fire Department extinguished the fires.
