All westbound lanes on the Long Island Expressway’s north service road from Route 111 to Motor Parkway in Hauppauge have been reopened after being closed to allow workers to clean up a fuel spill from an earlier vehicle crash, according to the state DOT website informny.com.

The traffic alert was posted on the state Department of Transportation’s Inform site at 2:57 p.m., with the issue resolved at 4:25 p.m.

The crash involved a woman driving a BMW who “suffered a medical emergency and drifted onto the shoulder, striking the rear of a Suffolk County Transit bus that was parked on the shoulder,” Suffolk County police said.

The BMW, which had been heading west on the north service road west of Route 111, then struck a Nissan Rogue, police said.

The woman driving the BMW was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said. Neither the bus driver nor the Rogue driver was injured, police said.
