Motorcyclist dead after crash in Lindenhurst, Suffolk police say

A Copiague man died Sunday after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Lindenhurst, Suffolk County police said.

Marlon Meza, 29, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Meza was riding a 2007 Honda CRB 1000 at 10:37 a.m. on the eastbound Sunrise Highway when the motorcycle collided with a westbound 2009 Mercedes-Benz C30 as it made a U-turn at the roadway's intersection with Catskill Avenue, police said.

The driver of the Mercedes, Daria Williams, 69, of West Islip, was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
