Lindenhurst motorcyclist in crash critical

A Lindenhurst man was badly injured Wednesday when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle and fell to the street, striking his head on the curb, Suffolk County police said.

Christopher Larusso, 31, was not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred at 9:07 a.m. as he turned left onto Montauk Highway from Chestnut Street in Lindenhurst, police said.

He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was listed in critical but stable condition, police said.
