Christmas Eve commuters faced delays Friday night of up to an hour westbound on the Long Island Rail Road's Ronkonkoma Branch and 10- to 15-minute delays eastbound because of signal problems, officials said.

The signaling problems were east of Deer Park, said railroad spokeswoman Deborah R. Ciavolella.

The line was back on schedule around 11 p.m.
