LIRR service restored after truck hits trestle in East Hampton
Service on the Montauk branch of the Long Island Rail Road was restored between Bridgehampton and Montauk Wednesday afternoon after a truck struck a railroad trestle in East Hampton, railroad officials said.
The accident occurred at about 7 a.m. at an overpass on North Main Street railroad spokesman Sam Zambuto said.
It also was not immediately clear what type of truck was involved in the crash or if anyone was injured.
