A 20-year-old woman was injured after a train struck her vehicle on the Long Island Rail Road tracks in Huntington Station on Saturday morning, the MTA said.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesman Aaron Donovan said the woman was taken to Huntington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle was on the tracks near Oakwood Avenue, Donovan said, when the train "clipped" it at about 8:30 a.m., pushing it off the tracks.

Donovan said it was unclear why the vehicle was on the tracks.

The MTA Police are investigating the accident.

Service was briefly suspended in both directions between Hicksville and Huntington on the Port Jefferson line, the MTA said. Service resumed with delays just before 10 a.m.
