Anyone lose a flamingo in Commack?

Chick-fil-A employees at the Commack restaurant are trying to find the young girl who left her stuffed flamingo at the store last week, according to Mary Beasley, who coordinates outreach for the restaurant.

An employee spotted the young customer with her family and her flamingo at the restaurant Thursday, but the girl departed without her feathered friend, Beasley said.

“It looks like a well-loved toy,” Beasley said. “I know some little girl would love to get it back.”

The restaurant posted about the lost flamingo on its Facebook page Saturday.

“Missing Flamingo on the loose Commack!” the Facebook post reads. “Please let us know if this belongs to your daughter! We are taking good care of her in the meantime!”

The post had been shared nearly 500 times as of Monday evening.

“It’s nice to see such a positive response in the community,” Beasley said. “Hopefully, we’ll have a happy ending.”
