A Long Island man claimed a $5 million top prize by scratching off a winner in a recent New York Lottery’s Cash X100 scratch-off game.

William O’Donnell, of Babylon, has claimed the top prize, choosing to receive a single lump-sum payment of $3,255,000 after required withholdings, state officials reported.

O'Donnell bought the ticket at Maakrupa Super Stop on Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst.

Lottery officials said there was one top prize remaining in the Cash X100 game. Players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading its game report at nylottery.ny.gov.

New York Lottery scratch-off games generated $4.4 billion in total sales during fiscal year 2022-23, the lottery reported.
