Man, 21, killed in motorcycle accident
A 21-year-old Lake Grove was killed in a motorcycle crash late Thursday night in Commack, Suffolk County police said.
Police said Richard Anzalone, of Mosby Drive, was on his 2008 Suzuki motorcycle on southbound Indian Head Road when he hit a curb, lost control of the bike, was ejected and landed in the parking lot of Christ the King Church. Police said Anzalone was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center following the 11:45 p.m. crash, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police said Anzalone was travelling at "a high rate of speed" and that may have played a role in the crash.
The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
